L’ALINGI
PROFILE
Designed and directed by Alia Zaki Ali who has always had an eager urge to create a clutches brand that challenges normalisation by transforming a conventional staple item into an eclectically unique statement piece. Alia grew up in both the U.S. and Beirut where she studied Graphic Design and worked for advertising company Leo Burnett as well as other graphic design firms. Inspired by the exponential Japanese fake food movement, the first collection combines pabulum and fashion in a revolutionary fusion of pioneering design. L’ALINGI supports the use of unconventional material and the concept of newness, whilst maintaining its roots in “the luxury can still be fun and individualistic movement”.
